A Few Additional Thoughts

I am all about finding ways to let go of stuff, even if I am not so perfect at doing it myself. We make up lots of stories about our stuff: "I'm going to need this someday." "Oh, that was my favorite chair, I can't give it up." "I'm saving this, because my kids might want this.” We so easily step right out of the present and hold ourselves hostage to someday, maybe and what once was.

I am not a minimalist, but I love de-stressing my life and helping others to do this, as well. Too much stuff, externally (in the space around me) and internally (in my thinking space), is stressful. Thus, I practice the art and skill of letting go and getting rid of stuff in order to enjoy a bit more of the present.

A Cool Tool

NeatDesk Mini-scanner

A client of mine recently purchased this scanner. She wants to reduce her stored documents. The tool she is going to use was mentioned on Oprah's website as one of the "12 Gadgets That Will Cut Your To-Do List in Half." Imagine scanning all that paper you have, recycling it, and recapturing available real estate. By that I mean being able to use the top of your dining room table and reclaim the space in your basement and closet.
