Five Questions for
Finding More Joy
The beginning of the year 2012 was more than a little challenging for me. A very persistent virus put me into some kind of nowhere-land for three weeks. When you don't feel great, your ability to tackle new things on your list, let alone finish old ones, just flies out the window. What I found myself doing, instead, was crossing things off the list by asking myself, What can I say no to? What can I not do? I am grateful that I had enough little gray cells operating to direct me toward the idea of taking things off my list, leaving only the most important things on the list.
Well, I have my mojo back. While gradually coming back to some kind of norm, I discovered these questions hidden in a file. They are not little questions. They are big. They take savoring and mulling over. So, drink some green tea or a glass of wine and get mulling.
Five Questions from Finding Joy

If you feel as if your life is somewhere out there, as opposed to right here, stop and ask yourself:
- What is missing in my life?
- What have I put on hold?
- What am I waiting for?
- What would really fill my heart and make me happy?
- What would I regret if I died tomorrow?
